RinasCut On-line System

The RinasCut On-line System is used at the shop floor for controlling the complete production flow on the profile cutting line.

The On-line system is installed and running on an industrial PC mounted in the operators desk.

Typically the On-line system is connected to the RinasCut Off-line System through networking allowing production package files to be transferred forth and back in an easy and efficient way.

The On-line system interfaces all of the main controlling units at the profile cutting line:

  • Robot controller

  • PLC controller

  • Line marking device

  • Labeling device

Normal Operation

When one or more production package data files have been made available from the Off-line system, the operator will select and load the one which should be processed.

A list of all raw bars contained in the production package will be displayed. If necessary, the operator can change the processing order of the raw bars to correspond with the actual loading order of the bars.

The cutting process can now be started. Robot programs, labeling information and PLC control data will be transferred and raw bar loading, profile cutting and finally unloading will take place until all raw bars within the production package have been cut.

Normally the robotic cutting line will work fully automatic while cutting all of the profiles as specified in the production package.
In case of any errors, the system can be switched to manual mode allowing the operator to get full control of the line in order to perform necessary error recovery and later continue the production process in automatic mode.

Special Features

Detailed information about each raw bar can be easily viewed for the purpose of controlling the production.

The order of raw bar loading can be modified even during the cutting process as long as the modification is not in conflict with the ongoing process.

During the processing of raw bars track is kept of what is actually happening on the line. This status information is updated not only for each raw bar, but also for each profile.

When processing of a production package is completed it will contain information to be used for properly updating the stock database in the Off-line system.

Status Monitoring and Logging

Current status for all controlling devices can be monitored directly on the On-line system.

As the process is ongoing, relevant progress information is continuously being logged. This, together with a direct modem link connected to the PLC controller allows easy monitoring and diagnostic of the behavior of the complete profile production line.

This allows our technicians to be efficient in giving support when necessary.
